I’m doing the Vegan thing this month.
Which makes me happy to have a place like fōnuts nearby (oh, didn’t I tell you? I moved to LA). They have a great selection of Vegan and Gluten Free donuts (on top of regular flavors). Today I had a coconut passionfruit donut and it was perfection.
If you’re in LA, this place is a must. I use to drive from San Diego to LA with this place being one of my destinations and now it’s only a hop skip and a jump away. LA living isn’t so bad.
I took my first step into making my own donuts. I made a gluten-free version of this recipe. It was good but not great, not yet. Next batch I’m going to use a sweeter gluten-free flour and substitute the plain Greek yogurt for vanilla. Practice makes perfect…that’s what they say.
