I took my first step into making my own donuts. I made a gluten-free version of this recipe. It was good but not great, not yet. Next batch I’m going to use a sweeter gluten-free flour and substitute the plain Greek yogurt for vanilla. Practice makes perfect…that’s what they say.
Remind me to buy Min a great big present, because I would have never known about this glorious place without her. I had an amazing experience here…the donuts were delicious and the staff, oh the staff, treated me like I was a celebrity. One of the staff caught me taking a picture of the cream cheese donut and asked me if I wanted them to write my name on it. I should have said yes.
The Donut Man is famous for their seasonal Strawberry (or Peach) Donut. The donut itself was not too heavy, perfectly glazed and the strawberry was ripe to perfection.
This is the second location where I have had a cream cheese donut, and I don’t know if it’s because I’ve cut out all gluten other than donuts so I’m missing my Cream Cheese Danishes, but I really wish I could have another one…right now, possibly with my name written on it. A girl can dream.
